Follow-up Comment #1, bug #42422 (project octave):

I guess we could change the definition and see how many tests fail using 'make
check'.  My guess is that the number is going to be huge.  There are a lot of
places where ismatrix is used just to check that we have a numeric array, as
opposed to a cell or struct.
