Update of bug #42450 (project octave): Status: None => Need Info _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comment #1: Thanks for your bug report. This is likely a local configuration problem on your system, because many users are able to run Octave 3.8 without problems on Ubuntu 14.04. Did the package installation from Ubuntu repositories complete successfully? Can you "sudo apt-get --reinstall install octave" just to be sure it completes without errors or warnings?
