Follow-up Comment #1:
Thanks for your bug report. This is a long-standing known issue with OpenGL
plotting, closing as a duplicate of but #33180.
If you need a workaround to print non-visible plots, use the gnuplot toolkit
instead:
graphics_toolkit gnuplot
This must be run before opening any figures. Add it to your startup files if
you want to make this change permanent for you.
