Details:

At the start up invalid characters appeared using octave 3.8.1 on windows by
mxe build using native build.

The compiler used is gcc-4.9.0 (32bit) (rev. 2) from MinGW w64 project. The
thread model is win32 and dwarf exception is used. 

The start up screen is :


c:\usr\Tatsu\octave_work\mxe-octave32\mxe-octave\usr\bin>octave
