Details:

Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on Lenovo T440s
Unofficial Octave MXE build 3.8.2-3 from http://mxeoctave.osuv.de/

In the command window, the cursor is to the left of the typing position, e.g.
if I type the digits "0123456789" at the prompt, the cursor appears just to
the left of the space between the 5 and 6. If one selects, copies, and pastes
the text, it does not correspond with the highlighted text.

I have tried several different fonts, font sizes, and all the cursors with
approximately the same results.
