Follow-up Comment #2, bug #43478 (project octave):
That is true. More over, in the original script, if you replace:
subplot (1, 3, 1) -> subplot (1, 2, 1)
subplot (1, 3, 2) -> subplot (1, 2, 2)
The script will work without problems.
