Details:

The command window frequently hangs - other parts of the GUI continue to work
but the command window is totally unresponsive. Also in these cases the GUI
cannot be closed by Ctrl-C on the command line or by attempting to close the
window through the window manager.

I know this probably isn't a very helpful bug report, but I'm not sure what
other information would helpful since I don't know how to reproduce it. Please
let me know if there is any debug information I can submit.
