Follow-up Comment #1:
I think Octave attempted to follow Matlab's documentation which suggests that
the '-depth' argument must appear first.
In any case, does this also apply to -flat in Matlab?
Is this legal?
hax = gca;
findobj (h, 'type', 'axes', '-flat')
