I run this command, using last Octave version from
http://hg.octave.org/mxe-octave/ with gm-mxe.patch


>> test imwrite
PASSES 17 out of 17 tests
>> test imread
PASSES 1 out of 1 test
>> uname
ans =

  scalar structure containing the fields:

    sysname = MINGW32_NT-6.1
    nodename = Kalma-PC
    release = Windows 7
    version = Service Pack 1
    machine = i686


@lostbard: can you check again? how can we debug this problem?
