Details:

After a GNU Plot has been successfully plotted to the monitor, I try to resize
it by clicking on the green dot (Mac OSX 10.9.5 Mavericks) to expand it to
fill my screen. Then the plot window expands and fills with a grayish purple
color and my graph is really tiny. I've attached a screenshot. Hope it helps!
