Follow-up Comment #6:
The result of getsnapshot depends on the selected VideoFormat. Please see
"help getsnapshot". If it's YUYV for example, you'll get a struct which has to
be converted to RGB first. (This is intended and not a bug in
image-acquisition)
I'll close this bugreport as fixed now.
