Follow-up Comment #43, bug #38305 (project octave): The problems whith unzipping compressed info files are fixed on my system with the attached patch. It handles the unzipping process by popen instead of QProcess. I'd be happy if the patch could be tested on other systems with compressed info files. @Thorsten: Does the use of non-native file dialogs (see comment #38) fixes the freeze when opening a file dialog?
