Follow-up Comment #3, bug #43944 (project octave): (Win 7 64-bit Octave-3.9.0+ 64b indexing) (cs 52c51472b6b9 gui-release "improved search for active dock-widget after focus has changed") When trying the OP's commands, I couldn't find the figure at all. Only after a while I found a stripe in the top left corner of the screen (it was just 1 mm high, pushed against the top edge). Pulling it down I got a yellow-filled graphics window that turned white after I dragged it into a bigger size. I've attached a small series of screen captures to illustrate it. >> get(gcf, "position") ans = 0.00000 0.97500 0.05208 0.02500 So, on my box I can confirm there's something fishy with the OP's sequence of commands.
