Follow-up Comment #9, bug #44186 (project octave):

"Note that there is another bug which uses rm instead of del to delete
oct-9hn7O3.ps."

So it seems.  In other words "dos_shell" is not evaluating to "true" when
running under MXE?  Is that correct?  (I'm not Windows proficient.)
