Follow-up Comment #31, bug #44186 (project octave):

On looking around, I have had some references around about mingw open not
being in binary mode vs linux, which was causing extra bytes within files
ghostscript at one stage, but it wasnt clear if it is still an issue, which I
thought may have something to do with it, but hadnt found dug further into
that yet - but would potentally be related then to issues with write at that
point.

I will try a recompile and take a look at the log - I would think it should
complain about /p being an invalid escale code if thats the issue (I hope)
