Details:

Octave will now install a desktop entry. This will make it appear on
application menus which is all nice. However, with the GUI, it will open a
terminal window and the GUI on another which is not really nice if people want
to use the GUI

This can be fixed by changing the

Terminal=true

line on 'etc/icons/octave.desktop.in'. What this change means is that people
who want a command line only (no GUI) will not have an application menu entry
for it.

Some options are: 1) install 2 application entries (with and without GUI); 2)
assume that people who do not want a GUI will open a terminal themselves to
start Octave.
