Follow-up Comment #14, bug #41074 (project octave):

So I think the /B is a good thing and I'll at least commit that change.

Final thing to try is a visual basic script which makes itself invisible
before launching octave.bat.  With this, I don't even get a minimized icon in
the taskbar.
