Follow-up Comment #23, bug #44292 (project octave):

So that leaves the Win XP normal printing issues you've seen, but I can't
replicate that at the moment on Linux.

One thing I've just noticed about OSMesa, having still some debugging cruft in
my code, is that the normal print routine (i.e., the non visible-off) has very
much the same path as OSMesa and those OpenGL calls are working fine for (is
it) Qt.  I'll have to look into how OpenGL is installed under the Qt
environment.  Maybe there is a simple oversight there about switching the
context to OSMesa.
