Follow-up Comment #3, bug #44447 (project octave):

The package maintainers.

Perhaps the number of packages that are provided in mxe should be diminished
to just the ones that are most common?

Initially I had added many of them to ensure that the dependent libraries
would be built, as it would be a pain for the normal windows user to compile
any dependent libraries and then install the package, however I did put a
mechanism in the mxe makefile to allow just compiling dependent libraries and
not the octave package.
