Follow-up Comment #4, bug #44743 (project octave):
I would just copy pt_BR.ts onto pt_PT.ts, make some obvious changes (e.g.
arquivo -> ficheiro, diretório -> directório, ação -> acção, salvar ->
guardar, seção -> secção, seleção -> selecção, inativo -> inactivo,
atual -> actual, aplicação -> aplicativo, fechamento -> fecho), and let a
native person revise it later (Carnë Draug comes to mind).
