I applied your change here
(http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/76b1168342c0).  This makes linked
axes work correctly.

I still had a problem with the original example:


After zooming a single plot (right mouse button) and then auto-scaling
(double-click left mouse button) the plot window is not updated (i.e. stays
zoomed).


I checked in a different cset for that
