Follow-up Comment #40, bug #44751 (project octave):

Here's another patch that should likely exit, but I'm not sure if that's good
or bad (i.e., it exits, but not in the proper way).  Also, the thread affinity
of the signal and slot will be printed.  And I've put a message

WAS THERE A 3 SECOND BEFORE THIS LINE APPEARED????

in the code.  If you see that message, let me know if there actually was a
three second delay before it appeared after the line previous ("closenow =
1").  Thanks.
