Follow-up Comment #8, bug #44916 (project octave):

I see the following differences in output from my test and the files you
produced, plus differences in the compressed data that describes the EPS
figure.  I have no clue why this is happening as we are using the same version
of ghostsript.  This seems to point to a bug in ghostscript, or that we are
misconfiguring or miscompiling it somehow.
