Follow-up Comment #3, bug #45039 (project octave):

The version of Ubuntu is 14.04 LTS

the commands for building MXE-Octave is


PATH=`pwd`/usr/bin:$PATH 
autoconf
./configure --enable-octave=default
make nsis-installer 


In the log file I see 

make -C '/home/avinoam/mxe-octave/tmp-build-gcc/gcc-5.1.0.build' -j '1'
all-gcc

so there is only one job of make
