Details:

Installing under windows I found the following problems:
1. changing the default directory from "C:\octave\octave" to
"C:\programmi\octave" something in the system sends the directory to
"C:\program files\octave" that is not accepted by the installer because of the
space in the directory name. If then I change the directory to
"C:\prog\octave" or "C:\gnu\octave" installation runs fine but at first run I
get the following warnings:
warning: addpath:
C:\Programmi\Octave\3.2.4_gcc-4.4.0\share\octave\packages\miscellaneous-1.0.9:
No such file or directory
warning: called from
    C:\Users\GiovanniB\.octaverc at line 2 column 3
warning: addpath:
C:\Programmi\Octave\3.2.4_gcc-4.4.0\libexec\octave\packages\miscellaneous-1.0.9\i686-pc-mingw32-api-v37:

 directory
warning: addpath:

warning: addpath:
C:\Programmi\Octave\3.2.4_gcc-4.4.0\libexec\octave\packages\optim-1.0.12\i686-pc-mingw32-api-v37:
No such file or direct
ory
...
warning: addpath:
C:\Programmi\Octave\3.2.4_gcc-4.4.0\share\octave\packages\zenity-0.5.7: No
such file or directory
warning: addpath:
C:/Programmi/Octave/qtoctave/bin\..\share\qtoctave\scripts_octave\: No such
file or directory
warning: addpath: C:\Programmi\femm\femm4.2 01-11-2011\femm42\mfiles: No such
file or directory

The same warnings appear also in case I install under C:\octave\octave

Obviously the directory C:\programmi does not exist. Why should Octave look
for it?

I tried to clean the register and the directories, with no success.

2. In another PC if I do not install under default directory, after launching
"Octave-4.0.0 (GUI)" it hangs in such a way that I have to turn off the PC in
hardware.

Strangely in this pc after installation in the default directory I get no
warning and everything seems to work fine.
