Follow-up Comment #5, bug #45497 (project octave):

through the benefits of a fortunate typo,  I just realized that Octave has a
function 

repelems

with similar purpose to repelem.  But ML does not have a repelems function,
and the syntax is quite different.

Assuming we tidy up a compatible repelem, what's the usual Octave plan for
something like repelems? leave it? deprecate it?
