Follow-up Comment #5, bug #45509 (project octave):
Not sure what caused the change but was now able to install the communications
toolkit successfully. I am going back to a clean install and try and re-create
situation.
I verified that all required dependencies were installed. They were.
Then just for fun I ran the ./configure.status executable again.
Then did make check
Then did sudo make install
After this octave let me do the pkg install of the communications tookkit.
Thenks for your guidance and help. I will post anything new I learn when I go
through the whole procedure from scratch again
