Follow-up Comment #3, bug #45610 (project octave): The highlight / Ctrl+X / Ctrl+V was meant to illuminate pretty much what you did with the first example. So yes, the highlighted text after the Cntrl+R operation is too much and not computed correctly. That should be enough info to work with. Thanks. One other thing you could try is increase the number of lines. That is, highlight "ne2 line3 line4 lin" and do the Ctrl+R. Is the result "%line2 %line3 %line4 %line5 li" ?
