Follow-up Comment #5, bug #45540 (project octave):

It's not certain that the opengl driver is seg-faulting.  It could be, but at
the same time it might be that Octave is getting some bogus pointer value or
error message back from the opengl call and then doesn't react accordingly and
segfaults.  This

is the Octave seg-fault catch message.  That in itself doesn't indicate where
the segfault is occurring.

Anyway, from bug https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/index.php?45604 I found an
issue with a warning message appearing under opengl/Qt, but as I wrote I
concluded it isn't related to this bug.  Read my explanation in the other bug
thread if you like.
