Follow-up Comment #27, bug #45509 (project octave): I confirmed what Anonymous reported. On Centos 7 the terminal window has TERM=xterm-256 color. If I start octave from this terminal and try to do pkg install communications-1.2.1.tar.gz I get the failure that I noted before.
