Follow-up Comment #49, bug #44485 (project octave):

The patch from comment #44 doesn't apply cleanly anymore,
"Hunk #1 FAILED at 91"
The code for column sorting has changed too much I'm afraid, much more than I
can deal with (my C++ proficiency is a bit meager).

Could you (when you have time) please update this patch?
