Follow-up Comment #25, bug #41178 (project octave): Is this a bug in clang or something that is not guaranteed to work but that GCC just happens to allow? In any case, it might be a good idea to put a comment above the function definition explaining why it is not defined in the header file even though it is apparently a trivial function.
