Follow-up Comment #2, bug #46003 (project octave):
Hi Mike. Thanks for your reply. I tried without openblas but got everything
broken and so decided to apt-get install -f, apt-get autoremove and then
recompile. After doing this, the issue is not reproducible for me! Looks like
I had the remnants of octave 3.8.1 from the Ubuntu distro lying around... it's
all very confusing for a simple farm boy ;)
