Follow-up Comment #1, bug #46026 (project octave):
menu() isn't recommended for new code. See Matlab's own documentation
(http://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/menu.html).
That said, the Qt generated menu works for me with the keyboard (issue #1) and
with single or double-clicks of the mouse (issue #2). The only issue I see is
that the "select all" button is generated, but grayed out.
