Sure I'm (very) happy to host them in the io package.
Discussion of the transfer of the spreadsheet stuff to core has stalled a bit,
JWE must be too busy with other stuff. No problem, in fact I like it better to
be able to steadily clean up the io package in the mean time (I'm busy
eliminating a lot of duplicate code). Kicking out the old xml stuff fits well
in that respect :-)
