Details:
I installed Octave 4.0.0 after installing the most recent version of Java.
After installation was complete, Octave opened. I then followed the
instructions on how to build the packages:
- changed the directory to the src subdirectory of Octave
- opened build_packages.m
- clicked on Run, then Save File and Run in the Run menu
- the script ran, but I got a lot of warning messages
- after the script ran, I tried to load the financial package
- I got an error message (see below)
>> pkg load financial
warning: (Automatic loading of spreadsheet I/O Java classlibs failed)
I am running Windows 7 / 64 bit
The output in the Command window is attached
