Follow-up Comment #9, bug #46234 (project octave):
The referenced Ubuntu bug is likely a bug in the Mesa library and not in
Octave. The stacktrace shows that the crash comes from an assertion failure in
the Intel Mesa driver. Is the bug resolved when Mesa is updated to a newer
version? Try updating to the HWE updates if you are using Ubuntu 14.04.
