Update of bug #46770 (project octave): Status: In Progress => Wont Fix Summary: num2str produces different results in Octave and in Matlab => num2str in Matlab overwrites user-supplied input FORMAT _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comment #17: I made num2str and int2str Matlab compatible for all cases where a FORMAT argument is not used. See http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/b0afe1993268. I won't override a programmer's intention by changing a user-specified FORMAT, so that incompatibility will remain by choice.
