Follow-up Comment #58, bug #46795 (project octave):

With the patch, the problem remains when removing breakpoints and when running
a file from the editor. And, don't we need to set the breakpoint by the worker
thread, i.e. in a callback function? 

Beside of that, I really do not understand what is going since the callback
structures were not changed between testing and pushing your changesets.
Moreover, I have backed out my recent changeset (the one that made
file_in_path a non-static class member) for testing but without any success,
the issue remains.
