Follow-up Comment #5, bug #47080 (project octave):
On my fedora system the problem is:
! LaTeX Error: File `foobar-inc' not found.
See the LaTeX manual or LaTeX Companion for explanation.
Type H <return> for immediate help.
...
This occurs when pdflatex is processing extended.tex
To test if others are having the same problem, just
type 'x' at the hang. The latex error message above
should appear.
