Follow-up Comment #2:
Confirmed. This is with a brand new 'hg clone' followed by bootstrap,
configure, make, and 'make dist'.
The cset that introduced the problem is 21247:"merge sparse-mk-ops.awk and
mk-ops.awk scripts".
Apparently mx-ops.cfg, smx-ops.cfg, and vx-ops.cfg were added to the
EXTRA_DIST variable, but the files do not exist.
