Follow-up Comment #12, bug #45625 (project octave):
Oops. I forgot all about this report and just committed a patch to disallow
forks on the command line
(http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/980abb267014). It can be backed
out if jwe or Mike really want the feature.
