Update of bug #47360 (project octave):
Item Group: None => Incorrect Result
Status: None => Works For Me

Follow-up Comment #1:
Thanks for the bug report. If you compiled from source, it seems likely that
you built without the Qscintilla libraries installed.
Can you try building Octave again with the libqscintilla2-dev package
installed? You'll need to run configure again to detect the library after it
is installed.
I don't know why that would influence the use of an external editor, I don't
have a build without Qscintilla to test with.
