Follow-up Comment #5, bug #47463 (project octave):

Thanks for the suggestions.  I'll try with 4.0.1 and see if I have more luck
then.

By crashing, I mean that it appears to do nothing and if I try to close the
blank fltk plot window, it does not respond and I'm forced to restart the
program. 

I have tried very basic stuff like plot([1]).
