Follow-up Comment #1, bug #47497 (project octave):
Whenever you have more than one screenful of data to display, such as a large
matrix, Octave attempts to send the data through a pager. You can disable
this with
more off
Alternatively, you can set the pager to something besides less.exe which might
work on Windows. Use
PAGER("NEW_PAGER.exe")
to set the pager to something else.
Or, as you said, you can replace the buggy msys-1.0.dll.
