Follow-up Comment #37, bug #47372 (project octave): If only __magick_read__ and after looking at the GraphicsMagick changelog entries from 1.3.21 and 1.3.23, then I wouldn't be surprised to find the problem is there, not Octave. http://hg.code.sf.net/p/graphicsmagick/code/file/50ef32ccc258/ChangeLog.2015 There are many fixes for memory leaks, fixed-size buffers and similar issues.
