Follow-up Comment #42, bug #47372 (project octave):

It's pretty hard to determine, but it appears that this may be a
GraphicsMagick library bug, rather than an Octave bug.

If that is the case then I can hack, really hack, a workaround which avoids
dlclose if the library is GraphicsMagick.  I'd like to continue to use the
dlclose code where possible since it is the right thing to do, and might
reveal other problems.
