Follow-up Comment #117, bug #47372 (project octave):

I've updated to the latest tip and have been experimenting some more.  I
always get an abrupt failure for


demo ("patch", 2)


This is an "unclosed" patch which I know for certain uses a different code
path in gl-render.cc.  It now seems probable that we are using OpenGl slightly
incorrectly--not in an obviously incorrect way or it would fail everywhere,
all the time.  But on some systems our usage must be unkosher because we do
see occasional failures, particularly on systems using Nvidia HW accelerated
OpenGL.
