Follow-up Comment #3, bug #47763 (project octave):

Thanks, Mike. For the first part of your comment, the full path to the
function file is saved in the MAT file (by Matlab). When loading a function
handle variable, this full path should be ignored and the search path should
be used instead.

I'll do the other tests shortly.
