Follow-up Comment #2, bug #47886 (project octave):
Mike, do you mean that the final link command for libinterp doesn't include
the fltk, gl2ps, freetype, and fontconfig libraries, but that they are still
somehow linked with Octave (when examining what is actually linked using ldd,
for example)? Or are these libraries still listed in the linker command?
We should probably have --without-LIB options for all optional libraries.
